Louisville Children museum aim at promoting healthy life style for children through healthy diet, daily workout and developing their own hobby. When visitor arrived our museum, they would find themselves in a sheltered playscape. At the center of the playscape, there is a spiral walkway driving visitors to the maze at the top. We believe that children learn better when they are motivated. Therefore, every child is assigned a different task to solve in the maze to raise their curiosity towards how to develop a health life style. Every task is followed up by a exhibit area hanging over the maze area. Children will take a more proactive role when learning in the museum

The museum also provides library on the second and third floor, allowing visitors to further research and understand the topics. Workshops provide opportunities for local intelligents to curate activities or learning sessions. As the city lack of children friendly facilities, we dedicated the entire ground floor for playscape, simulating children sense with colors and encouraging interaction among children.

Classical architectural elements like gabled roof, dormas and arches are used to raise citizen’s awareness of local characteristic. In Louisville, one may found many gorgeous architecture in Victorian style. By playfully using the elements, the museum shows an alternative way to pass on the architectural style.
